If this is you

  • On the outside, much is working — but inside, you've been living in anxiety, control, and constant "should" for a long time
  • You understand a lot about yourself — but the understanding doesn't make it easier
  • Monday is no different from Friday. Every day feels like the last one, and you can't remember when you last felt alive
  • You've lost the sense that your choices matter — that life is happening through you, not just to you
  • Control has turned into a cage you can't get out of — and that exhausts you even more
  • You don't want to just cope. You want to actually live

Where we're going

To bring back your inspiration with your own life — with its appetite, play, curiosity, desire, and movement.

  • From the loop of time → to presence
  • From anxiety → to curiosity
  • From hyper-control → to experiment
  • From shame → to play and ownership
  • From "I have to" → to "I want to"

How we can work together

I.

About

Portrait of Sofia Kanevskaia

People come to me to feel inspired again — by themselves, and by life

I've been in practice for more than thirteen years: I've worked as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric hospital, as a child and adult psychiatrist in clinic, and now as a psychotherapist in private online practice.

What sits at the centre of my work is the living person and their vitality. I work in clinically evidence-based modalities: CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), RO DBT (Radically Open DBT), and CFT (Compassion-Focused Therapy).

The people who come to me are remarkable — intelligent, sensitive, responsible — people for whom much is working on the surface, but who don't believe it on the inside, who have been living in automatic patterns of survival for a long time. They understand a great deal about themselves, but feel less and less that they can get out of their own myths.

I help people step out of the inner cage into more presence, ground, and action — to notice their patterns, loosen hyper-control, move from anxiety into curiosity and inspiration, and from shame into play, ownership, and experiment. You don't need to be fixed. You are enough — what's left is to feel that in your gut, and reclaim authorship of your own story.

My work rests on four principles — ALOE:

  • A — Agency, instead of helplessness
  • L — Love, instead of loneliness and inner inadequacy
  • O — Ownership, instead of shame and self-attack
  • E — Experiment, instead of stuckness, perfectionism, and fear of error

Beyond individual and group work, I also build online practicums — guides and exercises for working on your physical and mental health on your own.

What I hear most often in sessions

"Wait — there's another way?"
"Why didn't I come here sooner — it would have saved me so many years."

Your time — I can keep it

Essays

Sinnerman

On sin, betrayal of the self, and Nina Simone as your personal Virgil. An essay on lovelessness as the root of "sinful" behavior — and the only indulgence anyone can grant you.

Shame. Shame. Shame.

Why shame-based parenting is the most widespread technique in the world, why it works, and why shame embeds itself into the nervous system like an heirloom no one asked for. Shame as procedural memory.

Facing Shame

A practical follow-up: the seven-step cycle for working with shame. Includes the "embarrass yourself a little" ladder — a classic CBT exercise reframed for adults who are very tired of keeping it together.
